Math Doctors 2.0
Re-working the online identity of D.C’s top math tutoring company and increasing student sign-ups at the same time
Math Doctors is a unique Math tutoring company in the D.C area. They’re so good at what they do, they boast some of the highest test score increases for any math tutoring company in the area. They tutor students from K through 12 grade and into college as well.
The Math Doctor folks tutor in the student’s homes but tutors meet up regularly at their main office in Hyattsville Maryland to exchange ideas and to just have fun.
Just the type of company we love working with.
I visited their main office at the onset of this project, saw the guys in action, and got a feel for the culture of the company. They’re a laid back bunch, but passionate about their students and their philosophy on “learning how to learn”. These guys live and breathe mathematics and are truly some of the best math minds in the business.
We were lucky to get to work with them and anxious to get started. We polished and tenderly created a leaner more flexible website. The brand needed a re-fresh so the ittyGrow team collaborated with MathDoctors on everything from site usability to copywriting. Some of the key innovations include
- Search Engine Optimization for better ranking on Google and Yahoo
- Twitter Feed to the Home Page
- Simple User interface for client updates
After the site was completed the folks here at ittyGrow collaborated and launced our marketing campaign. We created and managed a facebook page, ran ads on Google, Yahoo, Myspace, and Bing, and added a Math Tutors listing to all our advertising partners.
The results? We started to immediately generate new calls from students and parents looking for math tutors. Here’s a snap shot of new business calls we generated in 30 days.
From data provided by Math Doctors, we’ve seen a call conversion rate of about 85%. That is 85% of the people who call, become new clients. We were happy with the results and Geoff King at Math Doctors was happy too:
